Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course is 5 weeks long. We'll go through each of the modules 1 week at a time. Look at the Curriculum Design Roadmap calendar for all of the details you'll want to know. You can find that right here...
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own. And guess what? When there are updates or new bonuses added, you'll always get access to them. And, when the course opens up for enrollment again for a new cohort, you can go through it right along with the new students. The course modules will relock right before any of the launches, but will stay unlocked between each launch. You'll be notified of this ahead of time so you're aware.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
We would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us in the first 7 days and we will give you a full refund.
Will Curriculum Design Roadmap really help me to design lessons in less time?
Absolutely! After going through the course, you'll be able to lesson plan in a more seamless process. Gone will be the days of staying after school late and working on the weekends. If you put in the work during these next 5 weeks, you WILL see huge results.
What if I already use a set curriculum. Will this course still be helpful?
Yes it will. Curriculum Design Roadmap isn't telling you to use one set curriculum (and isn't a curriculum either), but it DOES help you use what you have more effectively and will help you take the guess work out of what to teach each week.
I'm not great at creating curriculum. What if I can't do this?
The truth is, none of us are great curriculum developers. It's a skill that you grow better at with practice and with the right training. What sets Curriculum Design Roadmap apart from any other training is it gives you a step by step process in how to create the curriculum that you need.
I'm super busy. How much time do I need to invest in the course each week?
This answer completely depends on you, friend. The modules have been created with you, the teacher, in mind. With that said, you can completely listen to the lesson audio or watch them. Although the lessons are pretty easy and quick to consume, I advise you spend at least an hour or two each week doing the homework. This course isn't just about watching lessons, but it's about helping you to implement what you're learning as well.
Can I use a school purchase order?
Yes! If you want to enroll with a purchase order, you can enroll by emailing me at [email protected] and I'll give you the details about how this works and will help you enroll!
Do I get a PD certificate to use towards my state licensing requirements?
I will absolutely provide a PD certificate at the completion of the course if you request one. This is up to your district if they'll approve the hours, so check with your admin or supervisor about this.
Is the course self paced?
During the course, each module is unlocked one week at a time according to the CDR calendar. You'll work through the material on your own time and at your own pace. If you can't keep up with the pacing each week, you can go through the modules on your own time after they're all unlocked. The modules will relock before the next launch, but you'll be able to go through them for 3 months before they relock and then you'll have complete access to everything again then.

Hey friend,

Creating a curriculum takes time. Unfortunately, it's not an overnight fix. But with that said, it is completely possible to create ease in planning, so you can enjoy teaching again.

When I started in my elementary music career, my school had no music program for the last 7 years. Not only that, I had no curriculum to follow and was just kind of left on my little island (or classroom) to figure it all out on my own.

Through A LOT of trial and error, I realized I had to make this thing called teaching elementary music work. So, I created a curriculum map, slowly found songs and activities to teach to the concepts and standards, and began backwards planning. What I DIDN'T realize throughout this process was that I was actually simplifying the lesson planning process totally unintentionally.

When I talked to other music educators at workshops or conferences and heard how long they were staying at school to plan each week, my jaw hit the floor. I had no idea that what I was doing wasn't the norm.

Now, it's my goal to help YOU, music teacher, also simplify lesson planning using the same strategies I used when I was in my music room so many years ago. After earning my Masters in Educational Technology, I realized that instructional design strategies are also part of curriculum design, and BAM... the idea for this course was born.

If you're ready to stop running on the never ending hamster wheel of lesson planning and moving puzzle pieces around to figure out when in the school year to teach what, I can't wait to help you.

I'm so excited to meet you and to cheer you on in Curriculum Design Roadmap!

One more thing...

It’s a dream of mine to make any of my courses or products free to you as a teacher. So, with that said, I want to provide some strategies, suggestions, and tips for you to pay for the membership site without digging into your own pocket.

As you’re looking at ways to help with the expenses of paying for the Harmony membership or any other professional development, you might need to talk to your administrator about funding.

So, I've created this PDF that provides a list of ways to get funding, but also a letter to provide to your administration or district.
